Thanks to Angel Esteban and levartoz we have that real Olympic ranking including the results of the european and americain continental of may 2022 https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/18vJAIixTBo9HqcjkSnKgAbE8y3lkwBV_j71Cf8kXtxs/edit#gid=1551245009 In the link above you can see the top 50 of each weight with the breakdown of points per season of that real ranking. The Olympic ranking currently published by the international federation covers the results of the last 4 years, deducting 25% each year. The points of the last 12 months count 100%, the other 12 previous months (from 13 to 24) count 75% and so on. This Olympic ranking published by the international federation is the one that is certain at all times to qualify for the G6 Grand Prix (where only the top 32 in the Olympic ranking participate in each weight with a maximum of 2 per country). The real Olympic ranking would include: 25% of the points obtained in 2020 and 2021 up to and including the Olympic Games + 50% of the points obtained in 2021 from the Olympic Games + 75% of the points obtained in 2022 (except for the World Cup which will count 50%) + 100% of the 2023 points3 points

The worst nightmare, our worst possible opponent If there were a small hope, it just went to the oblivion right now Last time we won against Finland was in 2003 Anyway a success will be already to score against Olkinuora. that must be our goal in this match. Man he has 99.03 % saves percentage in this tournament. This is absolutely unbelievable numbers1 point -

It's still impressive how three men dominated singles for so long. We've had 74 grand slam tournaments since Federer won his first (2003 Wimbledon) and the breakdown is... Nadal - 21 Djokovic - 20 Federer - 20 Everyone else - 13 between 9 players In the everyone else category, three of them happened during the first two years (2003-2005) and two happened in the last two years. Makes you think what could have been had the three not existed. Would Murray or Wawrinka have won double digit grand slams or would the winners been as varied as the women's (minus Serena Williams)1 point -

Jo-Willie Tsonga played his final match and had a very emotional ceremony afterwards. The French really did a good job in making this a proper send-off to one of their best in the new century. He has never been one, that i was fond of in his best years, but i have to admit the tribute video they showed got me a bit choked up. Almost all of that second tier of players that supplemented the Big 3 (or 4, if you'd like) for close to a decade are now retired. Nalbandian, Davydenko, Soderling in the beginning and then Tsonga, Berdych, Ferrer, Del Potro and Wawrinka in the second wave. Only one left is Stan the Man, but for how long.1 point -

Right. Vietnam would know how UKR/LTU/LAT/EST/MDA feel about Russian hegemony. As if Putin's Russia would ever let them be if there were no NATO. Heck, LTU/LAT/EST were finally left alone from their occupier thanks to NATO (and EU).1 point

Ski Jumping 2022 - 2023 Discussion Thread
FancyFenchel reacted to Monzanator for a topic
Due to the World Cup in Qatar the new season will start on November 6th in Wisla and for the first time ever the competition will be held on plastic run-offs which is standard for the summer events. The season will close on April 2nd which makes it the longest ski jumping season ever. Pretty expendable in a sport where only 10 nations compete on a reasonable basis and some of them are semi-professional to say the very least. Also Vladimir Zografski has moved to Poland full-time (his wife is Polish).1 point -

New day, new shooting the US. 14 kids killed in an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas. The debate will rise up for a bit again, there'll be protests, there'll be people saying "enough is enough" and "now we really need to do something" and by the time the weekend comes around, it's only a 60-second segment at the end of the news.0 points
