phelps 6,862 Posted February 23, 2019 #141 Share Posted February 23, 2019 in the end, the Italian girls, almost not existing through the entire season, today did better than the men...and not because they got some results beyond any expectation... what a sadness to see our CC skiing team so boiled if compared with 10/20 years ago... OlympicsFan 783 Posted February 23, 2019 #142 Share Posted February 23, 2019 Got all the medallists right, but completely wrong order ... I predicted 1) Bolshunov 2) Sundby 3) Roethe ... I feel you ... It makes me really sad that tax money is wasted on cross-country/speed skating, would be much better to completely shut down the financing for those sports. That really does not even get close to him saying Johaug would do the 5km classic race 6-7 minutes faster than the winner of said qualifying race If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! SalamAkhi 278 Posted February 23, 2019 #147 Share Posted February 23, 2019 Excellent performance for Parisse, lacking a bit of extra gas but the 3 ahead were really strong Backscheider 8, he was not meant to be part of the skiathlon until Manificat got sick Great hopes for the relay once again De_Gambassi

Winning time of the 5km C: 15:57 minutes --> 18.8 km/h Speed needed to be 7 minutes faster (8:57): 33.5 km/h That is 0.6 km/h faster than the average speed of the winner in the men's sprint freestyle qualifying. Saying Johaug can keep that pace for 5km, in classic style, is arguably pretty much worse than saying some not so smart predictions about Nordic combined, which was not even his sport, unlike XC If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated!
