Sporting needed just not to loose this match to keep the first place, and thanks to loosing this match they were passed Benfica, who kept winning the remaining matches and became champion at the end. Jorge Jesus was Sporting coach at that time :D

For Portuguese teams it went from "small hope" to "mission impossible", at least for Sporting. For Benfica it can go both ways, Benfica can play very well but also terribly bad, as well as Ajax (just look at the past game with AZ).
