For those needing to get their bobsleigh fix before the World Cup season gets underway.

I’ve seen this before.  Coverage is…..rudimentary.  Kind of like watching a sporting event in a supermarket security room.  :coffee:

3rd Place for Viki Čerňanská in Lillehammer EC, nice season opening.  Not as great second day though, with a 5th place yesterday.

I am shocked by :CZE performance in Europa Cup😳😳. Dobeš/Záleský won the first race and finished 4th in the second. Dominik Záleský as 100m sprinter and Czech record holder (10,16s) is making his international debut in bobsleigh and seems he may be fighting for Beijing 2022 spot 😁😁

So far so good for Team Silić. Yesterday they got 6th in the 4-man.

That opening DQ could prove expensive, but they should still have enough time to get a replacement result in Europe after the New Years

Does any page publish olympic qualification standings?

Here, but it will start showing only after WC starts.

Number of counting results = Number of WC races held

Really cool to see :CAM:VIE on the monobob entry list for the NorAm Cup in Park City.

Of course, their speed on training runs has been... pedestrian.

In another plot twist, Vietnam is entered for the two-man event too... with two different crews!!

What on earth is happening? Did Vietnam just decide to start their Winter program with sliding of all things?

    • I have reported this again and they said it should be fixed now, please let me know if you are still facing issues.
    • more countries added to the list of US ban    you can't travel to USA if you are from : burkina faso , niger , Laos , South sudan , mali , sierra leon ...
    • Yes, but what I mean for Serbia is that everything changed there (unfortunately for us ). 2022 was an unbelievable mess, that's not the case anymore now with just one athlete who has really gone for it and made it, so I'm 99% sure they'll accept it this time.   Who knows though. Plus there's always 1-2 bigger countries here or there who reject something, but it's not gonna be 16 places I'm afraid
    • Doping by Event Type When we look at which events have the most doping cases, a few categories stand out from recent sanction records: Long Distance (3,000m and above): 32% of cases Sprints (400m or less): 24% of cases Jumps: 12% of cases Javelin: 8% of cases Middle Distance (800m–1,500m): 8% of cases Hammer: 8% of cases Steeplechase (3,000m SC): 4% of cases
    • From 2020 to 2025    These three countries alone make up almost two-thirds (61.9%) of all current doping violations in athletics worldwide. It’s worth noting that 199 of World Athletics’ 214 member federations have no athletes on the current ban list. This means the problem is really concentrated in a small number of places. Here’s a look at the top countries: Rank Country Total Violations Percentage Region 1 Kenya 119 24.74% Africa 2 India 108 22.45% Asia 3 Russia 73 15.18% Europe 4 China 26 5.40% Asia 5 Turkey 20 4.16% Europe 6 Italy 18 3.74% Europe 7 South Africa 18 3.74% Africa 8 Ukraine 17 3.53% Europe 9 United States 16 3.33% North America 10 Morocco 15 3.12% Africa
