Japan have confirmed all the 13 judo players already chosen last February in the Olympic Team despite the Olympic Games have been postponed...

but they also decided that the last spot still TBD (the men's -66kg) will be awarded after a "1-shot, all or nothing" fight between Hifumi Abe and Joshiro Maruyama...:yikes:

super-fight to be staged on Sunday afternoon (around 4.30 p.m. local time, 8.30 a.m. in Central Europe)...

I hope to be able to watch what necessarily has to be named "the fight of the year" (maybe even "the fight of the 4-year span")...can't wait...:cheer:

    • Yeah. It was pretty bad that they cancel the contract with the original creative director after 7 months of work. I feel like politics, in this particular context of the changing of prime minister and the cabinet, may had caused changes in organizational decisions regarding the Sea Games including the direction of the opening ceremony.
    • That's what I figured.  Wouldn't be a proper lead up to an Olympics without some media-fueled fearmongering.
