For example, there is a maneuver where the surfers put all the fingers of their feet outside of the board. This counts a lot for juries. Stand Up Surf is basically the same of shortboard, but they use paddle. Stand Up Race is just a race Is that stand up surf also called paddleboarding or it is a completely different stuff? Yeah, it is known as paddleboarding as well. But I don't know if there is actually any difference in terms of competitions. There is a dispute between ISA and ICF for this discipline, and recently CAS made a decision about it. ICF also rules competitions of this sport in lakes, so it might be the reason. I only started to learn something today I feel like a duty to watch at least few minutes of every single sport at the Olympics. and I want to ask one more question. (promise this is the last one) Surfing once was in one of Asian Beach Games editions long time ago. they had an event called "Aerials". what was that ? something doesn't exist anymore ? jumping to the air with a surf ? Haha don't worry, I also learn a lot of Karate, Weightlifting, Wreslting with you... The only time that I see a competition of aerials was, if I am not wrong, during a CT tour event. It was organized by Red Bull. It is what you said. Jumping to the air with a surfboard and trying to do maneuvers. There are some surfers like the Brazilians, Jordy Smith, Jack Freestone and John John Florence that are specialist on this kind of tricks. Imo, aerials will be the future of surfing, if you are not capable to do it, you will not be a top surfer. MHSN

APB is responsible for that. But not sure. Para-Surfing is right, but it's a parasport. Bodysurfing I don't even consider this as a discipline Wakesurfing I didn't know It's weird that ISA wants to rule all kind of wave activities, but there isn't any tournament for those disciplines organized by ISA. The last for Body Boarding was in 2015. Olympian1010

For instance, SUP Race is almost certainly more of a ICF discipline than a ISA discipline. Same with wakesurf. That’s almost certainly a discipline that falls under the IWWF.
