All the surfers who finish the heats on third and fourth place on first, and in next rounds, will down to repechage way. Then, they cannot lose again and need to win or be the second in all heats till the final.

btw, ISA is accelerating the competition at main round... today we will have the surfers advancing to ROUND 4! already. So, who already lost in any heat will have a marathon on next days.

So, looks we will not have competition today. ISA postponed Opening Ceremony for today. It will take place in 2 hours from now.

 

One of the surfers who tested positive was the Brazilian Silvana Lima.
