LOL ... I guess it was worth a try ...?

Those times seems really slow now. Those athletes probably would have needed 4 or 5 minutes more if the course would have been 1600 m longer and if they wore the new Nike shoes, they probably got another 2 or 3 minutes thanks to that.

Attachment is the great fabricator of illusions; reality can be obtained only by someone who is detached.

Actually Inglis  was very unfortunate.  Qualification mark is 2:29:30

 

Instead:

      the basic is the same but with different tricks, different strategy etc. it's a mixture of frestyle and Greco because you can't dive for a single leg attack.    I'm surprised to see ~20 wrestlers in each weight. hopefully that doesn't tempt UWW or IOC to try this in major events. as a wrestling fan I find this very unwatchable !

      Lasting 2 Weeks and including 24 sports    I bet Beach Sepaktakraw(including their favourite Chinlone, Hoop), Water Skiing, Arnis, Floorball, Wushu, Weightlifting, Taekwondo, Underwater Hockey, Boxing and a few martial arts (Kickboxing/Muay Thai etc)   Obstacle Racing also should make the cut.
