Well I hope this can inspire Gkolomeev to win his first Olympic medal in 2024 as a 31 year old! He said after getting 5th yesterday in the same event where Fratus got bronze, that his goal is now 2024.

Too bad it won't inspire Thom de Boer for a 30+ medal, since he already said before the Olympics he'll retire after it, since he can no longer combine his regular job with his part-time swimming

Yeah but it's a direct medal event, unlike for example days 1-3 in golf or early qualifications or something. So, alarm and time to get up
