Correct remark by Kroon: "Getting in the lead group is really not hard in a race like this, if you're from a smaller country and you're not normally riding on a high level, there is absolutely no reason to not be in the attack. What else are you going to do this race, other than being dropped when the climbs appear? This might be the one time in your life to show yourself."
