last day in Changwon...and it was a great battle between the 2 superstars of the men's skeet, Vincent Hancock vs Gabriele Rossetti...

this time the American won the contest, equalling also the finals world record with 59 hits out of 60 targets. Rossetti was second with "only" 55 hits, meanwhile the bronze medal went to Juan Josè Aramburu of Spain.

with this result, China won the medal table with 4 gold medals ahead of Russia with 3 and the USA with 2.

Italy (not a good week for us, looking at the overall performance), Australia, South Korea, Belarus and Finland followed the top 3 Nations with just 1 Gold medal each.

the full ranking of this Korean WC stage is available here:

Yesterday a new Pistol & Rifle Shooting World Cup stage came to an end...

after the Asian trip, the tour flew to Fort Benning, Georgia, USA (the Atlanta 1996 Olympic Shooting Range)...

and the final Medal Table didn't change their main "owner", since China dominated the field and won 4 Gold Medals...

following the Asian super-team, we have 6 European Nations with 1 Gold Medal each (GRE, ESP, GER, HUN, BUL, CRO)...

the Medal table is completed by 5 other Countries that got at least 1 Medal, but no Gold ones (SRB, DEN, FIN, FRA and THA)...

full results, here:

for Italy, just a bunch of disappointing results (a couple of bitter 4th places included)...:facepalm::wall:

World Cup, Stage #4 (Munich, GER)

Women's 10m Air Rifle

Gold: :TPE Lin Ying-Shin

Silver: :CHN Wu Mingyang

Bronze: :DEN Rikke Maeng Ibsen

to be noticed...the Italian girls who officially competed this morning have been an absolute disaster (as usual...and as expected), meanwhile our best shooter, the reigning World Champion in this discipline, Petra Zublasing, started only in the MQS Extra Series and had a score which would have allowed her to dominate the qualification round of the actual world cup event (2 points better than the Korean Jung, who won the early round, but finally ended up only in 7th place)...

I just can't understand our coaches' choice...:mumble::facepalm:

Feel like that is Denmark’s best result in a long time.

finally, a medal for Italy in a rifle/pistol discipline (after a fierce battle between De Nicolo and Stefanovic, SRB, who tried a late comeback but got just short in the final standing shots)...

however, Yang and Kamenskiy were just a class apart...

in general, not such an exciting final, except for the bronze medal race...
