If two US shooters qualify, then one of Argentina/Chile will likely qualify at the 2018 Pan American Championships. After that, things open up at the Pan American Games when two quotas are available.

and once again Italy flopped big time in the only event in today's schedule they should have dominated...

bitter consolation the new junior Gold Medal (men's jr. skeet) by Elia Sdruccioli...

p.s. today's results recap comin'up later...unfortunately today I have a busy day and I can't spend much time following sport...:cry::facepalm:

Danka...so close of medal :( but yeah, the Olympic spot was the main thing here, so well done. Just like in Rio, she is again the first IOC member qualified for the Tokyo games competitions :d

With this 5th qualified athlete we already equaled our amount of athletes competing in Rio Shooting events and still in the very first qualifying tournament. Not bad, I guess :d

With less athlete quotas overall. Not bad indeed!

That's shame :( Men's skeet wasn't held yet?

No. It’s the only Olympic event left.

Are the target sprint events just grand prix or will they show in the medal totals ? ...... will make a lot of difference to the overall medal table

    • There will be specialized double sculls...just not for an NOC if it is entering singles specialists.   Either enter 2 singles specialists, or 1 XD specialist pair.   But they can in theory compete in both events, I guess, if they qualify...our top M, I think, does both.   But there are 17M, 17W, and 30 Pairs allotted in the quota, so I don't think the intent is that every singles entry will be in doubles.   (Perhaps this gets to fall in line with Weightlifting, where due to max entry quota, an NOC can't enter in every event, even if they have the best athletes...here, unless you have a pair who qualifies in both.)
