hckošice 13,279 Posted March 11, 2021 Author #2 Share Posted March 11, 2021 Klaudia did not qualify for the Slopestyle finals this time. For the first time, after 3 consecutive Top 10s (8th in La Molina 2011, Bronze medal in Kreischberg 2017, 7th in Park City 2019, DNS in 2013 & 2017) because of crash in both qualifiers runs well, still Big Air to come. In other hand pretty encouraging performance from the young Samuel Jaroš among mens, definitely a serious talent and nice olympic prospect for our freestyle snowboarding
NearPup 2,169 Posted March 12, 2021 #3 Share Posted March 12, 2021 Very cool seeing the slopestyle world championship on the exact same hill that hosts the X Games.
OlympicsFan 783 Posted March 12, 2021 #4 Share Posted March 12, 2021 1) Really stupid that there are 3 runs in women’s slopestyle but only 2 in men’s slopestyle. 2) Gu might become a superstar in China after the Olympics. She might help China to finish at least top 3 in medal table. I wonder how much China payed her to switch nationality? OlympicsFan 783 Posted March 12, 2021 #5 Share Posted March 12, 2021 Insanely disappointing results for Germany today. Both Vockensperger and Morgan could have won a medal. Vockensperger would have won gold with his qualification score, instead another fluke gold for Norway. Referring to a two-time X Games gold medalist and world championship bronze medalist in Slopestyle as a “fluke” winner is a just a laughable claim. “Sport has the power to change the world. In what universe is Kleveland winning a fluke? He was one of the favorites. He also really loves this specific hill and frankly he seemed like the only athlete on the men’s side who was comfortable with the snow conditions today.
