I don't get why anyone would find this sport enjoyable. It's 10 minutes of actual play and the rest is teams setting up and commercials. Unbearable.

Strange from someone living in Argentina? One can say rugby is 70 mins of people laying on the ground and 10 mins running :mumble:

but now it's impossible, as they have a 5-sec delay just to cover possible upsets like Janet Jackson's...:facepalm:

as I said, Katy Perry is not close to my top, too...but her HT show was memorable...

and in a kind of show like that, I think coreography and special effects are even more important than the music itself...

by the way, as a R&B and Hip-Hop fan, I think last night's appearance by Big Boi and Travis Scott was almost insulting...

For me, there are 2 ways to do it.

1: Making the show (personally I don't care much about choreography and big special effects, they often feel empty for me. I prefer the more personal and spontaneous artists, but I know what you mean and know that a lot of people agree)

2: Making the recognisable. The legends. This could both be pop (like Madonna) and rock (Springsteen, Stones, Macca and so on)

It's a matter of considering what's important, as there are both the young and the more mature and I guess more and more money is in the hands of those who prefer the younger music.

Personally I keep dreaming. Could be artists like Metallica, AC/DC or The Black Keys but also more pop-like artists like Beck or The Killers

But then again. It's only 12 minutes, and next year I may be watching with friends talking through all of it :p

Rugby is mostly boring as well but at least it's 40 minutes without insufferable commercials and timeouts.

That's what I thought too, until I actually started watching it and I realized it's much more than that :cheer:

It's action-packed, the action is simply packed in shorter, but more explosive moments.

Kyler Murray has announced he wants to be a NFL QB after all. Wonder what numbers he puts at the combine where he finally gets measured too (5'9" here we go).

Woman kicker Kareem Hunt has been signed by the Browns (by his old Chiefs GM Dorsey). He still hasn't been suspended but that's to be expected.

Nobody Wins :p (as usual Harvard/Yale students using irony in a very clever way):

Protests are definitely becoming more frequent in US sports. The athletes, and now the fans. From the NBA to the NFL to the NCAA. I fully expect to see podium protests from US athletes at Tokyo next year.

    • If Colturi were to return to Italy, we will have another super duo after Goggia and Brignone. If Colturi has to return, it would be right now, when alpine skiing is so popular here. There are still girls like Pirovano, who are quite young and are already started winning. Alpine skiing in Italy is similar to ski jumping in Poland: there are speak about no young talents, but there is always someone new – it is a matter of the popularity of these sports in these countries and the large amounts of money invested in them.

    • Holdener beat Aicher for 2nd place by 0.04 so Aicher has to win the last GS to have any chance for the overall (trails Shiffrin by 85 pts).
    • Shiffrin wins by 1.32 secs! Business as usual
    • Anna Trocker takes the lead despite a big mistake. Maybe there is some future for  alping skiing
    • Lucas seems to be on another level in Giant Slalom right now.
