I would point out to Totallympics that Women's bobsleigh competition is simply called "Women's bobsleigh", and not "Women's 2-man" as it's written everywhere here.

That's confusing to people who don't know much about it. Like, when they differentiate between Two-man and Four-man, is "Women's Bobsleigh" two or four, or even just one?

 

Wikipedia calls it "Two-woman" which makes it clear.

But IBSF calls it "Women's bobsleigh".

 

And speaking of confusing names, I guess the likes of "super-g" are self explanatory?

I know that but we don't have to like every official terminology. It was just an attempt of explaining of why people might say "Women's Two-man/Two-woman".

While we're at it, I also don't like the use of a capital "C" in "Pyeongchang". I will never type it out like that. Yeah, I'm rebellious.

 

Haha, as a kid I've always wondered what Super-G stands for and nobody could tell me.

Lamin Deen and Loic Costerg with the fastest times, interesting. Won Yunjong had a DNF in run 1, that's not good.

Really doesn't mean anything at this point (Deen and Costerg used 4-man sleds as they don't compete in 2-man, and we can't know what most of the other used). And why would someone cheer for a home nation in sledding sports (as if they don't already have a huge advantage...).

I know it doesn't mean anything, but it's results, meaning we're really close now and I'm getting excited  

 

And about the home advantage: a bookmaker gave odds of 501 for Won to win...managed to get €50 on that, so yeah, I'm cheering for Won   (in 2-man)

Oh well, at that odds I'd have put 250 euro on it if they let me, 501 for a former World Cup champion who has had a million more runs down this track than anyone else...that's ridiculous. I still think Germans and Canadians are the favourites, but no way Won has only like 0,2% chance to win the gold

Our team is optimistic enough after the first training runs. They are one of very few crews that haven't been to Pyeongchang before. Exciting to have our sledding teams here (and interestingly all of them come from coastal Croatia).
