Im watching surfing for the first time ever too and I have samr feelings.

I expect that plenty of people here who don't come from countries with  ocean coastline beaches and an accompanying surfing culture   ( that includes all but about 4 European countries  ) don't approv

Also, the Winter Olympics absolutely have quota issues as well. 2026 is going to be rough for some sports.

LOL, after the whole debacle between Medina and the national federation, it's funny to see him missing the final. I hope Ítalo wins the gold medal now.

In all of the sports where athletes are awarded scores, Japan has been very generously scored. They lost the gold medal in artistic gymnastics today because their team is actually not that great, but judges still did everything they could to give some hope to Japan. It's way beyond the point where it can all be considered a coincidence or a boost thanks to home advantage by now. They are being blatantly and deliberately overscored everywhere.
