We can qualify only one judoka across gender and division with continental quota. I doubt, any of our judoka is in line for Workd Ranking Quota, top 22 for men and top 14 for women.

You're right - seems like the Judo Federation here is just blowing smoke up journalists' asses, who clearly can't be bothered to check any of the information themselves.

Even after adding points from the Asian Champs, and accounting for the fact that only 1 judoka per category per country can qualify, Avtar is ranked 47 (where only 22 qualify) and Kalpana is ranked 53 (where only 14 qualify). Avtar may have a shot at the continental quota but that too is pretty tough...

Actually I think that India will  have a good chance to  qualify one judoka................ because in the continental quota - the rule is  -  continental quotas (Europe 25, Africa 24, Pan America 21, Asia 20 and Oceania 10 across both sexes and all divisions) are also subjected to an overall limit to one judoka per NOC ...i.e the Top 20 countries in Asia will send one judoka each under the continental category ( This will I think exclude nations like Japan / Korea/North Korea  who will  already 7 men / 7 women hence subject to the maximum rule in the top 22/15  ) ,,,, the process is extremely opaque and difficult to identify who will be selected but I think we will have  one judoka .......

Thanks buddy ....... but I see you have not updated a few so I would like to have your thoughts on them ....... of them I feel Basant Rana should be included in the probable quota  for the 50 Km walk as he is just a 1 minute behind in a 4 hr event ............... also I see you have not added durgesh  in the 400 and Jinson and two others in the 800 would love to hear your thoughts on them as well .................. • sure! in every Italian bedroom you normally have every kind of table, chairs, furniture, tv screen  to me, this really look an unfinished room, you normally don't see such a sad place even when you buy a new house
    • Canoe Sprint There is a now a cap of 5 athletes per gender in the kayak events (down from 6 in 2024). The World Championships has been replaced by the Olympic Qualification Rankings.   K2 lost 2 boat quotas while K4 has gained 1 boat quota. Quota distribution is quite complicated as it usually is for canoe sprint. They also force nations to compete in a minimum number of events based on the number of athletes qualified; 2 and 3 athletes per boat class must compete in 2 events, 4 must compete in all 3 events and 5 must compete in all 3 events and have two entries in the K1 event.
    • Wrestling will have a completely new format, I do not like the changes. ranking isn't really a good idea in this sport, this will force wrestlers to compete in so many events to collect points. which is not good for their health. specially with the current UWW ranking points distribution system which is plain stupid   they are also gifting 18 quotas to very weak countries by that last qualification event. but I understand their point of view. can't wait to see lots of Russian wrestlers compete for weak countries for that 1 available quota.
    • Canoe Slalom Quotas from men's/women's K1 have been moved to men's/women's KX1. K1 will now have 14 quotas while KX1 will have 10 quotas. C1 remains at 17 quotas. Athletes may participate in other events up to a maximum of 2 athletes per NOC.   The World Championship qualifier has been dropped in favour of the Olympic Qualification Rankings (7 K1, 10 C1, 3 KX1), afterwards you have the Continental Qualifiers (1 per boat) and then a new Global Qualifier (2 per boat).   There were a few changes regarding ways to ensure an athlete can only obtain 1 quota. The biggest being at each stage the boat priority is K1 > KX1 > C1 for the rankings and KX1 > K1 > C1 for the continental/global qualifiers. This basically means if the same athlete qualifiers in multiple boats then the quota will be given to the kayak over canoe.
    • I'll post significant changes periodically. I'll start with the recently added/updated documents.   Archery The addition of mixed compound (12M & 12W) forced a reduction on the recurve side. The mixed compound quotas are distributed as follows   Host - 1 World Championships - 3 Continental Games - 5 World Ranking List - 2 Final Qualifier - 1   To compensate the team events will now only have 8 nations. 2 quotas were removed from the World Ranking List and 2 were removed from the Final Qualifier.   Individual recurve and mixed recurve distribution is the same
