Great outing by :ITA Cecchitti. :USA was starting to hit her. The Americans are threatening with base runners at 1st and 3rd with 0 outs.

No, but is certainly fitting for a typical Totallympics bashing masked under a pretense of "discussion".   Baseball/softball is like the only non-European-centric team sport at the Olympics.

Well I really hope this isn't the last time we see softball in the Olympics, because IMO this tournament was a ton of fun.

Was thinking that. 4 teams out of six will play for a medal, ITA definitely look better than AUS.

I could only find a stream without commentary. I don't know why Eurosport refuses to coverage this. Without commentary, I don't understand this sport at all.

      This was extremely amazing   There were only few ways that Korea could advance.. and the 7-2 was last one.   Red case (5-0, 6-1, 7-2) was the only way korea wins... green for austrailia, blue for chinese taipei

      I think the 6-team restriction is to include many new things (lacrosse, flag football, etc...) in the olympics. IOC would not want to expand the total number of players by having too much team in here.

      4 groups of 3 teams 3 games in each group. Group winners to semi-finals. Medallists would play 5 games. Add 3 reserve days for the weather. Average is less than a day of rain in LA in July All over in 8 days.
