The left-wingers have gotten so liberal & progressive they forgot about their roots - the hard working blue collars who are by no means liberal. Jeremy Corbyn got a huge reality check on that and even Labour knows they've become an urban liberal party which is not what any left-wing party is coming from. Trump won because the conservative rust belt voted for him instead of the left-wing Democrats. Hilary Clinton represented the urban elite which used to be the most obvious enemy of any left-wing movement dating back to 19th century.

Yeah, you're gonna win the age 30 liberal progressive voters BUT that's not enough to overcome the age 45+ blue collars who show more discipline when it comes to voting. Those old guys gonna cost you every single election, that's why Sanders and Cortez-Ocasio are equally as doomed as Corbyn was in the UK.

If you're gonna worry more about the Russian hackers and the impeachment you're gonna lose even more touch with those left-wing roots. Hollywood and 25 year olds from urban areas will not win you the elections over Trump.

The Democratic Party has evolved to a more inclusive, world focused agenda, and if that upsets people, than they weren’t ever truly ever progressive to begin with. Explain to me how Trump hasn’t done anything except represent the “Urban/Coastal” elite?

My generation is hunger to vote, so the older generations better be ready.

Even Obama who i obviously dislike, said few weeks ago that the democrats went too far left. For their sake i hope that Biden will get the nomination, because if it will be Bernie or Warren..... it definitely wont end well for them

I’m clearly fine with going far to the left, but I think setting themselves up as the opposite of Trump is the best play they have. I actually think that Buttigieg would win over centrists and conservatives better, but then they lose the black vote. I’ll be voting for Warren, Sanders, or Bloomberg in the California primary.

Setting up the US Embassy in Jerusalem was the most Jewish-friendly act by any sitting President since Israel was created. There's just no way the Democrats can ridicule that or else they're losing millions of Jewish voters in the US and they're officially screwed.

If Jewish friendly means recognizing them for the genocide of Palestinians then sure. I think democrats will fair fine in the Jewish vote.

He also accepted the Golan Heights as a territory of Israel, keep fighting the Squad on stuff that they are saying against Israel. He is very Israel friendly, and i'm sure that the jewish vote is part of it. But at this point, why would any self respecting Jew will vote for a party that is Bringing us superstars like AOC, Omar or Tlaib that are openly anti semitic (among other things)

And why they vote for someone like Trump who is clearly xenophobic towards Muslims? The Jewish people are a people of peace, the president has not created peace. He’s only further the device between them and Palestinians.

CNN is just as liberal and Democrat-friendly as any media goes and even they begin to realize what the REAL problem really is:

https://edition.cnn.com/2019/12/14/politics/us-britain-politics-boris-johnson-donald-trump-labour-party-democrats-election-2020/index.html

Obama was Tony Blair. Cut the sociallism bullshit (Obamacare wasn't really that because in USA if you don't have medical insurance you might as well check in as homeless) and ride with the moderate wave. It worked for him very well indeed. Funny how it worked for Blair well too until he slipped on the Iraqi invasion which he was forced to ride with the ole buddies from USA.

CNN can go fuck themsleves, as I do agree with conservatives, that they are not pushing news for the sake of the public good.

If the popular vote doesn’t matter, than are we a democracy? In a democracy everyone’s vote count equallly. Is that true today? Clinton lost because she was a weak candidate. People got punished for a bad choice they made.

Oh fuck . I got her and Feinstein mixed up. They’re both old and white as hell. It’s so hard to tell white people apart. Thanks for saying where I live after I’ve been vague about it for 2 years for personal reasons :yes. We have a large homeless population up here to. Mayor Parris (R) has done little to solve the problem. I’ve have numerous community college friends that could give you personal stories about being homeless, and how it’s not the undocumented immigrants fault.

Unemployment is low yes, but are people being paid the wages they deserve? If the whole population is employed, but only paid 1 dollar an hour, is that economy functioning well? The thing about economics is that it overlooks people. California’s GDP is great, yet we have a massive homeless problem. People can talk about the economy all they want, but in reality it overlooks all major issues. If our economy is good, why cannot people afford or obtain healthcare? Also, we should be working towards peace. When you ask a child what makes them happy, none of them will ever answer with war. Maybe if we invested a bit more in social programs, the state department, and the UN, we wouldn’t need a large military at all. If putting America “first” means turning our back on those in need, then we’re not truly “first”. Countries that provide the most common good for humanity are the countries that are “first”. I’m curious as to what good our military brought Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, Somalia, Korea, Vietnam, Cuba, and Central America? In fact I’d say their responsible for creating the immigration problem in the first place.

ISIS isn’t destroyed. They may have no territory, but still definitely exist. Our military under both Obama and Trump did a great job or working with our allies to free Syria and Iraq from the cold grip of ISIS, but now Trump has made our allies our enemies, which has created conditions for ISIS prisoners to escape. He’s not done most of the things he promised, mostly because they were vague ideas created in order to race bait and galvanize the right. I’ll let my votes do the talking in 2020.

So Biden will be a better candidate then Clinton? give me a break, Creepy Joe is an even bigger joke. You can look at it both ways,  you can think that it's not a democracy, but at the same time having an electoral college means your vote is equal to the vote of someone from Idaho, or Nebraska. look at the map of districts won, the country is almost entirely Red, besides the city areas where the elite reside. So you say that only the Elite matters. No, Electoral college worked since 1775 and it still works now, just because you dont like the results doesn't mean it's the wrong way. How about Newsome? is he doing a good job? so good that people already trying to recall him, how about Garcetti? what did he do besides bringing the olympics, which honestly even a chimp can do in L.A

The reason the illegals are at fault is because the state is spending an insane amount of money on illegals, it's money that could be spent on housing the homeless and building more affordable living instead of the crazy housing prices we have now

I want you to explain to how you would convey this to child below the age of five, and then not only justify sending them back to “their country”, but also separating them from their parents, since you yourself are an immigrant.

I would explain to them that their parents came to the country illegally trying to cross borders illegally which they had no right of doing, that they had to request asylum and wait for the application to be processed. Their parents are at fault here, not the government, and btw Obama started the child separation policy, and built the cages. But no one mentions that

Devide between us and people who want to destroy us? right, because it was "peace" before, honestly you don't know what's going on in Israel by looking at the media, so that's not just you, that`s everyone, but this can't be further away from the truth

My guess is that the powers that be in the democratic party will try to rig it towards biden like they did towards hilary, because Biden is the only one with actual chance against Trump in the general elections.

Now I have a question that may hit closer to home, and that very well may be in poor taste, but that I’ve decided is poignant enough to ask, and so I ask for an honest answer.

Should Jewish people that illegally crossed borders fleeing Germany in the 1930s been “sent back”? Should Tutsi fleeing Rwanda in the 1990s been “sent back” by neighboring countries. Should countries be placing quotas on the amount of people they’ll allow to flee war and violence?

Yes, the children’s parents are at fault. However, if a child’s father robs a Walmart, do we also place the child in prison? The government is at fault because we created the problem. We support violence in Central America, and the place quotas on who we’d save. Give us your poor, your sick, and tired; so we can send them right the fuck back to die. I sure love our patriotism!

Obama did start child separation. You are right, and I acknowledge that. It was shameful policy, and quite possibly one of the worst mistakes of his presidency.

    • Unfortunate, but it doesn't change the fact that I'm looking forward to Thursday evening, when the team captain's meeting is over and we have our very first World Cup start list of the season. Always a cool moment to see who's there and everything
    • Today I unpacked some of the boxes in which we have put my way too many books to move to our house, and I came across these beauty's I hadn't seen for a while     Absolutely recommended, tough to get for a decent price, but they are such an interesting read with lots of very interesting little stories! Still looking for at least 1900, 1904 and 1906, but not really in the right moment to spend money on that now, so the wait goes on
    • Which I guess is part of why unfortunately 'our' first wild card attempt of the season was rejected last week
    • The next chapter in the Krasnobaeva saga is upon us.   Looks like  Armenia have cut ties with her after only a few weeks. A person from their Federation has said, that they won't continue the relationship, because of her unprofessional and rude attitude towards the coaches and other officials. That includes: - having no respect to the coaches and their advise; - training without any motivation; - stops doing the routine and throws objects without any reason; - just lays on the floor and ignores the music.   When this was escalated with her mother, she mentioned that "Elvira has a strong temper and she was the same in Bulgaria and they tolerated her". Which of course is complete BS. If anyone attempted this shit here, they would be thrown out immediately.   And now  are wanting from her mother to return all finances they gave them, which she is refusing, so they will probably sue them. They will also inform other RG Federations about this situation, so they don't hire them.   My 2 cents on this is most likely Krasnobaeva was happy in BG and was forced out by her mother, so now she is sabotaging the move and be done with it.
    • Honestly Ruka is my favourite World Cup event of the whole season. Everybody is there. Later on there is always someone who skips one weekend or another . Not everybody takes part in Tour de ski. But here everyone shows up.
