There was an equality parade yesterday in Bialystok, and of course, because it's Poland, it was invaded by hordes of uncivilized, barbaric animals which call themselves "True Patriots" Highlists include : A man using his own infant son as a shield from the police, four chavs assaulting and beating a crying girl, and six od them attacking and robbing a teenager.

The first official foreign visit of the new Slovak president (if not counting the V4 nations, she visited immediately after her election) was today to France :d

First thing she did after landing in Paris and the official dinner meeting with Macron was attending the Bataclan in which the terrorist attack on 2015 killed 90 people.

Promoting LGBT ideology is risky business in Poland  We're not as liberal as the Netherlands or Sweden. It's time some people really acknowedge that. You can promote LGBT in Warsaw but the whole country? Ain't gonna happen. Watch Law & Justice crush these liberals in the October elections again

The current international political swing is in their favor. I’d be surprised if Polish populists and conservatives didn’t take more power. Especially since Poland is a hub of the international far-right. It would be huge if any center, liberal, social democratic, green, or socialist parties won.

Law & Justice formed the government with the far-right (Polish Families League) back in 2005. Now the leader of that party supports the liberals   The true far-right has been neutralized over the past 10 years and means nothing other than being supported by various hooligan groups associated with soccer clubs. Bialystok is a city with a top soccer club and I wouldn't be surprised if several of those attackers were football hooligans in disguise. They don't care about politics but rather clashes with other groups and the LGBT comunity is a very suitable group to attack. Moreover it's on the north east part of the country which has strong Home Army & anti-communist traditions. They fit the Law & Justice voters' profile. The only bigger support for Law & Justice is in the south-east (Western Galicia) where Ukrainian nationals murdered thousands of Poles during WWII (even more in Eastern Galicia currently within Ukraine borders). Politics in Poland has strong connections to the past communism and pre-WWII days and this won't be dismissed over some LGBT ideology that quickly if ever.

@Monzanator I don’t understand what the LGBTQ+ community has to do with anything. They are just people trying to live their lives. Yes, they’re passionate about it, but it’s because people receive them so poorly.

It's like selling an Eagles jersey in Cowboys stadium. You're gonna get whacked just by being there. Law & Justice doesn't care much about political corectness & the LGBT community ain't their voters whatsoever. And no, staging a public protest is not "living their lives". According to the conservative politicians over here it's a provocation, period. Moreover some liberal politicians have asked for more protests so the people who get beat up even more and than be used as LGBT martyrs of sorts

The sad life one must have when trying to be treated a bit equally is considered a provocation by some moronic politicians..

If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! Full story and how to help can be found here!

    • Half of those things, if not more, are simply stories though. One may believe them or not, fine, but those aren't really reasons to claim a land. That way anyone can claim it if they have some old story that says so, and we end up in exactly the same situation.
    • But actually we can, going back to the crusades, to the Jewish exile from the land of Israel.    To Moses who walked the sinai desert for 40 years to get into israel.   To all the stories in the Bible about israel.  And even Jesus who was born a jew in Bethlehem and lived in Nazareth.  All places you can see to date.   The only way you would argue that there is no historic proof that israel is out land is if you are simply and atheist and dont believe anything in the Bible.
    • And before the Turkish empire it was another. And before that yet another. And yet another. And yet another. Always a good illustration of the never-ending killing of each other in especially that region. "The god in my stories is better, so we need to kill you and everyone around you" often being a central theme.     In short, nobody 'deserves' to be there (or anywhere in the world, for that matter) and definitely nobody right now can genuinely claim the land on historical grounds or anything (which apparently people often do), unless they're a proven descendant of the first cavemen and hunter-gatherers and such coming from Africa tens of thousands of years ago.
    • Btw.  You should know that palestine is a made up country.   It never existed in history.  Before israel was awarded the land it was the British empire.  And before that the Turkish empire.    And you can google to see who was there before the turks.  But it was never palestine.   The people are Jordanian that Yasser Arafat took from Jordan because the king was killing them.   So if you're looking for a home, I would go to Jordan.   And Gaza was taken from Egypt in 1967.   Yet when sinai was given back, they never wanted Gaza.  I WONDER WHY!   so keep talking about a made up country that doesn't actually exist   Can wait to see your well thought and coherent response
    • It was.  Lately is just tears of people who hate that we kill all their idols like Sinwar and Nasrallah.    It's surprisingly nutritious
    • Algeria is third world.  Unless you lied about that as well and you don't actually live there.  Though I dont know why would someone pretend they live in that forgotten hell hole
    • You are speaking like an imbecile in a forum in online, its not your grocery store or mosque in your third world village.   We have an identity.   I wouldn't expect you to know it.  But I'm happy to see you be miserable since we are killing each terrorist one by one. Just big red marks on the year book.    Keep going.  It's a boring time on an olympic games forum.   It's very amusing.
    • I don't think dropping a bomb in the center of London would be beneficial to their position on the stage of global sports, but hey, who knows
