It wasn't useless as Ukraine qualified. And to be fair Ireland has a better team than the Czechs.

Ukraine's list of potential Olympic horses has been narrowed down apparently, but they still have enough to make a team in Rio. But, if nothing else, this hopefully means the end of Ukrainian international jumping team, as they lost their main investor...

Germany announced their long list for eventing in Rio. Long list actually contains "inner circle" which is the likely team for Rio. Blocks 1 & 2 is likely the reserve list. How much would I like to see Bettina Hoy in Rio though!

Meanwhile, Danish dressage championships ended. Podium finishers Dufour, Kasprzak and Kirk Thinggaard are in "crystal water" for selection. Final team to be confirmed on July 17th.

Bettina Hoy looked really amazing yesterday, i think she will replace Schrade. Klimke, Hoy, Auffarth and Jung would be an amazing Team.

She was excellent in dressage, but quite bad in jumping yesterday and XC today. Although Aachen XC course is one of the hard ones, I don't see her having a chance to get selected now. German team will probably be Jung, Klimke, Auffarth and Andreas Ostholt.
