He's a shameful commentator. If not talking about this podium nonsense, then he usually passively aggresively undermines Schurter during the whole race at the time.

Wow, Anne Tauber finished 3rd in Stellenbosch, the first Dutch women's podium since Elsbeth van Rooij-Vink in 2000 :yikes:

Results of the 2018 Asian Championships

for the first time Iran won two medals in Olympic events here, Silver in men's elite cross-country and bronze in women's elite cross-country. I thought this is a surprising result then I checked the World Ranking and surprisngly Iran is Rank 1 in Asia in both men's and women's elite !! so winning bronze and silver is not a surprise but how come ?! :mumble: cross-country is quite new in Iran . is Asia this weak in CC ?

 

btw, Faranak Partoazar's bronze medal in Women's CC is the first ever medal won by Iranian girls in an Asian Cycling Senior Championship. I consider this a big achievement because women's cycling is new in Iran and beside that Iranian girls are in disadvantage with those crazy dress codes. I believe winning medals in road and track events are much harder (almost impossible) with them.

Red Bull TV commentator is once again claiming that there are 5 (!) people on the mountain bike WC podium...

 

For crying out loud, just because 4th and 5th stand by the podium does not mean that they are on the podium! :facepalm::mirror:

      There is a saying to never trust a Russian in gymnastics. Well, ex-Russian turned Bulgarian Elvira Krasnobaeva is transferring now to Armenia.   The "official" reason is for personal, family matters, but in reality it's most likely because she wasn't selected for Paris, which angered her parents. Even though she is only 16, had her breakthrough just this year and started making mistakes, when they amped up the difficulty.   Our Federation's President Iliana Raeva said today, that she received calls also from France and Azerbaijan about Elvira's mother basically auctioning her. Raeva mentioned, that Krasnobaeva was going to be a vocal point in the next Olympic cycle, but now she can hit the road and missed her chance to ever compete for Bulgaria, even if she wanted to in the future.    We are also going to make a new Group from next season. After the disappointment in Paris, 4 out of the 5 girls announced their retirement.

      true, but was expecting India to get troubles from Australia, not from New Zealand, and specially not by being bowled out. Makes the group phase interesting though
