Besides, I'm pretty sure the cost of the speed skating rink is generally quite higher than the one of the ski jumping stadium (and with higher maintenance costs also). Do you drop this sport also ?

In case of S Korea, they are way better in skeleton and bobsleigh than in luge (this year Yun Sungbin won the Skeleton WC, and he was 2nd place in the 2 years before, and in 2015-16 they won the 2-man bob, with being 3rd place in WC in 2016-17). With all this they might put the complex to good use, depends on also the willingness of FIL and FIBT to organize World Cup events there

Sochi disappeared rather quickly from Luge WC programme, only after 2 seasons post 2014, dont know if it was because of the local organizers or the intl federation or both.

It was because of the doping scandal. The German, American and Canadian (among other) feds put a lot of presure to not have any events organized in Russia.
