Makedonas 2,170 Posted October 14, 2022 #665 Share Posted October 14, 2022 Nicholas Scarvelis (shot put) He is only 29 years old and has the Greek NR of 21.05 from 2020. He competed for Greece at the 2016 Olympics. His most recent competition was the 2022 World Athletics Championships, so I did not expect him to stop until at least Paris 2024... Makedonas 2,170 Posted October 16, 2022 #666 Share Posted October 16, 2022 Konstantinos Filippidis (pole vault) He is 35 years old and didn't compete at all in 2022 so it's not surprising. He competed at London 2012, Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020, finishing 6th in London and 7th in Rio. He has the Greek NR of 5.91m from 2015. His biggest achievements were the gold medal at the 2014 World Indoor Championships and silver at the 2017 European Indoor Championships. Jan Linha 590 Posted October 27, 2022 #670 Share Posted October 27, 2022 Not exactly retirement, but former hurdler, now silver medalist from London 2012 and double world champion Zuzana Hejnová gave a birth to a boy named Matyáš. Congratulations 🎉🎉🎉. She could not prepare well for Tokyo Olympics, she withdrew despite having the limit and later got pregnant and announced retirement. Not expacted to come back to competing. Wish her all the best 💪💪💪 Hipooo 1 Link to comment https://totallympics.com/forums/topic/748-athletes-retirements-thread/page/67/#findComment-502844 Share on other sites
