The only real hopes are maybe one in either of the curling. If they fail it’s the bobsleigh that makes up the best of the rest. But honestly I think zero medals is quite likely and will be the worse since 1992.

Katherine Grangier says she is not panicking yet. I bet she is secretly because she knows how bad it will be that £24m was spent. Funding was already cut by 25% last time. How low will go for the next cycle?

Snowboard: Huw Nightingale came 4th in his 1/8 final heat, not advancing to the quarterfinals. This confirms that Day 6 will end without medals for Team GB.

Impinge if Katherine Grainger ends up being fired as head of UK Sport for the Winter Olympics which is a small part of the budget. But zero medals will see someone getting fired.

Not sure he will improve over all the training runs to get near medal winning form.

    • I still shocks, that a country of 4-5 million inhabitants? can be a powerhouse in almost every winter sport + handball, football (most recently with Haaland) and athletics: Ingebrigtsen, Warholm, etc. With such a small population, they can't be missing out on any major talent, surely? This must be the best training system in the world...
    • FIFA announced the stadium and time for each match   for  Iran, it will be 2 matches in LA (and not just 1) and 1 in Seattle and luckily we avoided playing in Canada. absolutely nothing against the country, but there are just too many douchebag Iranian groups in Vancouver trying to mix everything with their stupid politics. it's better to stay away from them.   that can happen in US too but less likely. playing in LA is more like playing at home, at least I hope so. 2022 Qatar was a disaster from our point of view, hopefully this one remains only about football.
