don't know if we are supposed to have a refugee team in 2026 WOG but FIS RT lost its only member

Atefeh Ahmadi (Iran's flagbearer 2022 WOG) all of a sudden decided to go back to her former country and take back whatever she did and said in past 2 years !!

Seems like the early completion of the Bob/Luge track was a one-off.  Elsewhere, there are familiar stories.

Concerns over snow levels for the skiing events at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy have been raised by the president of the International Ski Federation (FIS).

oh, c'mon! there's plenty of natural snow there!

there's no need at all of artificial snow, even for HP and BA jumps

not a case that Eliasch is only complaining about funding, AKA his bribe is not enough

fuck him and all the English speaking media goin'on with this fuckin', slandering campaign

they would really deserve to be left out at night during the Olympics, not sleeping in luxory 10-star suites like they will

I wonder if they were also eager to talk like that before Sochi 2014, or if the money in envelopes from oligarchs from Russia effectively silenced them, does anyone remember?

Happens at every games (the negativity). I remember the British press labeling the Vancouver games as the worst ever (before they even started). Arguably those were the best Winter Games in recent memory.

Wouldn't be a proper lead-up to an Olympics without plenty of fear-mongering from the media.  There are concerns, but not the existential crisis that some want to make it seem like everything is going to come crashing down.

Well, I think everyone’s glad that’s the case. I also haven’t heard any catastrophic reports about the hockey stadium in the last few days.

Very true point.  Although I think at this point everyone is just holding their collective breath until the test event.  The NHL isn't going to rage anymore until then because it's not like that would make the arena progress go any quicker
