Good God, can this prick be any more obnoxious. Since when is this primadonna a messiah and everyone should be entitled to his periods. I never thought i could hate an athlete more than Nadal, but this douche is something else and then some. I'm praying someone knocks his head between his legs.. IBU should fine his sorry ass (if not more) for disrespecting the sport and his competitors.

Or maybe because the president of Russian biathlon federation wrote a letter to the IBU president where he crapped at all the biathletes he hates including Fourcade brothers? :woot:

Wasn't that after Fourcade's very disrespectful (but, I'll admit, rather funny) comment underneath that photo of Loginov?

My little opinion:

Fourcade: being an annoying jerk on the downside, but at least he's not staying quiet which is a positive (ha!) thing

Shipulin: understandably angry about Fourcade's bitchfight with Loginov, although not shaking someone's hand is more a sign of weakness than "making a point"

Loginov: I'd rather not see him on the podium, but he's served his ban and all the crying about him is starting to be even more annoying than Fourcade has ever been

Aren't you usually the first one that doesn't want to see convicted EPO dopers, in any sport. :p Loginov is like an exception really.

That's why I don't like seeing him on the podium, but in the past weeks all of the "OMG they selected Loginov and Starykh!!!1omgnoooo!!" on all kinds of places on the internet has been getting out of hand and dominating everything about biathlon, it's getting annoying....really annoying :d

And people blaming IBU for it, like they actually expect a federation to impose lifetime bans on first offences.

Fourcade apparently intentionally pushed Loginov during the exchange.

Loginov apparently unintentionally didn't turn aside.

Russians flied a protest and they watched it from different cameras & admitted there was nothing intentional from Fourcade.

    • It may also be that Ceccerelli saw that the conditions in the Italian youth teams were very poor and that is why she insisted on setting up her own team (the results of young Italian skiers unfortunately confirm this). A private team will always be better than a team with 10-12 skiers with max. 3-4 coaches, a one doctor and a physiotherapist. Colturi is the only skier in her team and she has several coaches, a masseur, a doctor etc. Of course, it costs money, but since the parents are famous and have money + Red Bull got involved. I don't understand why she can't start for Italy again? Red Bull should care more that Colturi starts in Cortina under the Italian flag than the Albanian one + Red Bull, as a brand, always has a bigger sales market in Italy with a population of 60 million than in small Albania. I hope that this can still be reversed by next year. For this we need talks between the federation + Colturi's parents + Red Bull + possibly the Italian Olympic Committee. Colturi may be a skier equal to Brignone or even better in the future. We can't lose her, so we have to do now!
    • I`m very disappointed with this weekend. Only becouse of Ghiotto form I`m happy. Unfortunately, the women's team will not function well if Lollobrigida skips most of the training camps and Fontana starts alternately in short tack and long track. It will end with her not winning any medals here or there, because it`s already clear that it will be very difficult to achieve good results in long track. I hope that she understands this, because in short track she has a real chance of winning medals in the women's relay and the mixed relay but in long track not.
    • Tragic performance of the Italian women's team - last place and probably something bad happened at the start. There are so few starts in the team that it will be a problem to even qualify for the World Championships - 8 best teams. After Lollobrigida's return and Fontana's addition, I was counting on much more, but it seems that there are too few joint trainings. With individual quality, we have no right to lose to the Czechs without Sablikova, or anonymous Korea. And unfortunately this start will count for a lot, because there are only 2 more and our chances of playing at the World Championships are minimal. In my opinion with Fontana going from Short Track to Long Trackand vice versa, we won't be much use in the team. Here great teamwork is needed, not improvisation. As of today, there is very little chance that we will qualify the women's team for the games.
    • men advanced to Division A for the first time since 2018 (when they went 1-8). Don't expect much progress next year
    • Ok, but there we are talking about a person who has parents from different countries. Colturi has nothing to do with Albania.
    • There are few people here from Austria, Switzerland, Norway and Finland.
    • The worst editions in XXI century for us were Vancouver: 5 medals (only 1 gold for Razzoli's on the penultimate day) and Sochi: 8 medals (but no gold). Turin was already a prelude to this bad period, although the number of gold medals was ok. Overall we won fewer medals at home than in 2002 and this was probably the only case in the 21st century when the host country won fewer medals at home than 4 years earlier, either in summer or winter. In general the years 2008-2016 were very bad in our sport, both in summer and winter. Only 2018 in Korea was a slight rebuild + 2 fantastic summer editions in Tokyo and Paris. in Beijing 2022 we won a lot of medals - 17 but only 2 gold (If it weren't for Gogga's injury, I think it would have been 4 gold).
    • Totallympics had  users at one point, but I haven't seen any hanging around in a while.
    • In terms of total medals, yes. In terms of golds, I’d be fine with anywhere from 6-8.   @intoronto you don’t think we’ll do better or at least the same? Bit surprising.
