And that's how it is Oh come on, that's like saying Phelps is the best Olympian of all time (scoreboard journalism) #banbestmen

And thus the most unfair. No, that still is ski-jumping, though this season has been good with the weather conditions. hckošice

And they are more used to skiing on chopped up courses, they do it on every slalom. Every time when conditions like today's occur some slalom specialist, and "weekend downhiller", wins. Downhillers are chanceless. #banbestmen

Or biathlon where one athlete gets a wind gust during the shooting and the other doesn't Any sport that is outside is by definition not completely fair, unless maybe it's sports where it's head-to-head. Solution, make slalom indoors or make mass start slalom (with athletes starting after their deficits - how exciting would that be!). dcro 10,189 Posted February 13, 2017 #369 Share Posted February 13, 2017 (edited) Or, make slalom courses on the Northern side of the hills, where there is no sun. You know, like they are kind of required to do with sledding courses. In any case, nice to see all of our girls qualifying for the giant slalom. Zbašnik had the fastest 2nd run (climbed from 12th to 4th). Edited February 13, 2017 by dcro #banbestmen
heywoodu 13,573 Posted February 13, 2017 #370 Share Posted February 13, 2017 But no, I'd rather have a weather-influenced slalom at the Ganslernhang or Chuenisbärgli than an indoor slalom Maybe one indoor slalom on the calendar would be cool, like in Landgraaf If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated!
