but Thiem was better today and I wish him victory against Rafa although it is not realistic.BUT Soderling beat Rafa when he was in great shape, so Theim also can :d

About Novak: all started when he won all 4 GS title. so we all know reason. he don't have motivation for good result.

If you have no motivation for a good result, you won't be able to train a ton every day and if you don't train a ton every day, there's no way you're still a top-5 player :p

Good result, finally some new player in the semifinal, hopefully Rafa will stop him. If Zverev continues his steady rise, then this might be as easy as it gets for Thiem. In a couple of years Felix and Kuhn might become the new favorites at Roland Garros.

You mean like Serena Williams? She is 4th in the live rankings and hasn't played since the Australian Open, so we could as well assume that she didn't train (much) since then, but she is still top 5 ...

I understand your "intention", but you don't seem to understand how the world ranking works ...

yes, but GS are most important for all players and when you won all of them you have to find motivation again.

this is not like this. he is in top 5 because he was good in first part of 2016 and in last 2-3 tournaments in 2017.

    • This is going to have an effect on very likely 0 athletes, possibly 1 or 2 we don't really know about yet. It's really mostly the cheapest possible way for them to make a sort of political statement, without having any significant backlash since it won't really affect anyone at the top level of international sports.   Edit: worded a bit wrong, I was thrown off by everywhere 'trans women' being mentioned as the target of this. Of course there is also the somewhat larger category of DSD and the likes, which will certainly affect a few athletes - unfortunately they are often thrown under the bus or mentioned as 'not really women anyway' or something like that, despite, you know, being.

    • Athing Mu competed in the USA trials in 2024 and 2025 post the 2023 rule changes. She also won Gold in 2022 and Bronze in 2023.    Jelimo the jury is out. She doesn’t look male like the other two do.
    • People focus on trans people because it's easier to pinpoint the affected athletes. Meanwhile it's the athletes with (suspected) DSDs that will have tougher time to convince the authorities and the public opinion that they belong to women's sports.

    • yes, there are (or there was, at least) don't forget that the women's 800m had world and olympic champions like Semenya, Jelimo and Nyonsaba...basically, it was 10 years of DSD winners only the same Athing Mu was suspected to be DSD (never confirmed, but somehow she totally disappeared after Tokyo) then, there were the 2 girls from Namibia (1 won a medal over 200m in Tokyo) in Italy we have the living scandal Valentina Petrillo (a paralympian!!!), who's actually a real man not to mention the weightlifter from who took part into the Tokyo Games so, it's a real problem all around the globe, not just a US crusade against a few woke idiots
