now it's obvious that the "Olympic disaster" wasn't just an accident. there is something wrong with our Taekwondo ! they have great players, good coaches, good preparation. I just can't understand what's wrong ?!

today they even lost badly, not even close ! Mardani had hard time against Kazakhstan before losing to Mahama Cho ! and only 40-50 days ago our 4th tier athlete beat this Kazakh guy quite easily. we have depth in this sport probably more than any other country but for whatever reason our top athletes can't deliver results !

no chance for Erfanian, which means Hosseini tomorrow is our last chance to do something here. we have kimia in the last day but she was injured the whole year and didn't participate in a single match after Rio, I don't consider her a medal favorite this time.

Oh what a final for Zeliha Ağrıs, she is just 19 and a world champion now. Despite of the disaster we have seen with Servet Tazegül, Turkey has 2 golds now and in 62 kg 1st ranked İrem Yaman will be competing. We might even have 3 golds after all.

Matijasevic retired after match against Mandic. Oh noooo :(

She was part of one of strongest Croatian female team. Probably strongest in Europe. Sumic, Zubcic, sisters Zaninovic. All of them were great.

Did she switch from Croatia to Macedonia? And after this match you mean she finished her career? :yikes:

Not only that, apparently we also have a new user from Turkey, that's reason to celebrate!

I don't know taekwondo that well but after the semi's I was convinced Kudashova would win the gold, and during the final as well, until Agris came back :yikes:

Walkden - Galloway was a disappointing final, but Agris - Kudashova and Jeong - Artamonov were really a whole lot of fun :d

Yes, this was her last match and it was very emotional after the match. I thought that she cried because she lost, but not. Reason is that she retired.

    • (Men) withdrew from the qualifiers in Egypt due to the warning issued by the Department of State to US nationals in the middle east.    They had lost their first two games and were already eliminated anyway.
    • In yesterday matches, ,  and  qualified to the final tournament. Big surprise as Antigua and Barbuda defeated the Dominicans, and  defeated El Salvador 2-0 but they needed to win for atleast 3 goals so they are out. Big shoutout to Antigua and Barbuda and Jamaica who ended the group without receiving any goal.    In today's matches,  defeated  3-0 so they become the 10th team to enter the final tournament. In a couple of hours, we will have the final teams.    plays , both have 9 points but the goal difference is in favor of Haiti who is 14-0 (Curazao is 12-2). A draw benefits Haiti.   In the other match,  qualification is almost locked. Canada have 9 points and a 24-0 goal difference, and plays  who is runner-up with 6 points and 11-5 GD. This means, the only way for Nicaragua to qualify is to win by 10 goals or more.
    • Malena Zamfirova was hit by a drunk tourist today (not with a car), while she was preparing for the next World Cup in Czechia.  It happened in the so called "safe zone" near the lift, where there were a lot of people and this drunk just uncontrollably ran her. She had many fractures and had to be flown by helicopter. Tomorrow she is moving to Austria with a special transport, where on Friday she is having a surgery. I am fuming
