The battle for second place tomorrow will be severe. Quintana should be worried for the podium forget the pink. No one is coming close to Dumoulin. They had multiple chances this week and blew them all.

You know tomorrow is a time trial right?

 

It seems pretty realistic to think Dumoulin could win a minute. Unzue (the Movistar boss) said they wanted Quintana to have at least 2 minutes to sleep 'tranquillo' tonight, he thinks Dumoulin is the main favourite now (and so do the bookmakers  ).

Tomorrow is going to be horror. A game of seconds, while knowing the Italian organizers/TV producers are a bunch of idiots who can't even show the 10-30 second difference between two small groups on a climb.....they should have 10 intermediate checkpoints

Fun fact: in the 2015 Tour de France 1st stage (13km) in Utrecht, Dumoulin won exactly 53 seconds on Quintana

The fact that the wearer of the leader's jersey in any cycling stage race has to ride a time trial in that leader's jersey instead of in his own time trial jersey is absolutely ridiculous by the way. Quintana now has a huge disadvantage by having to wear a simple pink jersey instead of Movistar's time trial jersey. 

 

This rule should seriously be changed.
