British coach Lloyd Cowan has died at age 58.  Coached many good British athletes, but best-known for working with World & Olympic 400m Champion Christine Ohuruogu.

First high quality televised Indoor Meet of the year coming up this weekend - the Vanderbilt University Commodore Indoor.  Featuring teams from several of the best American Universities.  Usually good international representation.  Over two days, Friday & Saturday European time.  Expect many World’s Best marks!

WORLD RECORD ALERT

I am willing to bet many internet points on him changing allegiance to France before Paris 2024. :p

Can't happen unless he misses Tokyo 2021.

Because of the postponement the three years out of competition he needs to serve won't be finished until after the entries close for Paris

Great 4x400m race from the US college circuit last weekend

Not as good as the GOAT From the Depths of Hell Race though.

    • I still shocks, that a country of 4-5 million inhabitants? can be a powerhouse in almost every winter sport + handball, football (most recently with Haaland) and athletics: Ingebrigtsen, Warholm, etc. With such a small population, they can't be missing out on any major talent, surely? This must be the best training system in the world...
    • FIFA announced the stadium and time for each match   for  Iran, it will be 2 matches in LA (and not just 1) and 1 in Seattle and luckily we avoided playing in Canada. absolutely nothing against the country, but there are just too many douchebag Iranian groups in Vancouver trying to mix everything with their stupid politics. it's better to stay away from them.   that can happen in US too but less likely. playing in LA is more like playing at home, at least I hope so. 2022 Qatar was a disaster from our point of view, hopefully this one remains only about football.
