I can try to make up for that by pointing out the world ultimate (flying disc) championships on are going this week as well. Website: https://wuc2024.sport

:USA swept all three events: open, women's and mixed

Why are these events so confusing? :d

Like, there's three events and judging by the names alone, women are allowed to play in all three of them? Seems like it should be the way luge did it: the doubles was an open event until very recently. Then the women's doubles were added and, logically, the open event became the men's event.\

Seems like there is only a few random matches available to watch by the way :(

Makes me wonder how that works for them, financially. Especially something that, internationally, is a rather obscure sport would surely benefit more from their biggest events being widely available to a global audience, instead of hidden behind a pay wall?

World Rowing did a much better job for example, their more obscure event, like last weekend's coastal rowing world champs, was available in it's entirety and for free on their YouTube channel, which is an excellent way to try and gain a bit of new audience..

Monfalcone, a town in northern Italy has banned Cricket, a decision made by its mayor, who views the sport and the Bangladeshi immigrants who play it as foreign and "incompatible" with local culture

It has imposed fines of up to €100 on those found playing cricket within its limits

it's just a boutade of those stupid "Lega" local governors...:hairpull:

that ban is against every principle written in our Constitution and there's no judge that would allow this idiotic rule to stay in place ;)

How is yoga competitive? Genuine question, I only know it from those poses and as basically a form of stretching and meditation and such :p
