I always thought these unusually slow times (like the Slovak racer last week too) were due to skiers stopping on course to chat with a coach or a friend.

Chatting with a coach could be possible, but I very much think it's more likely to be because of some 'forced' rest  

 

He wasn't even last, btw  

 

 

And just like in Neumayer's case, the skier before Monsen didn't finish
