And that, right there, is why Israel is now mad as fuck

In their minds, it should be just called 'Jerusalem' (even though apparently the international community doesn't really accept it like that, since the East is apparently one of the many occupied Palestine areas), and because the Giro organizers named it as 'West Jerusalem' (which they did to stay away from political stuff) the Israeli government is now threatening to withdraw all support :roflmao:

In the Netherlands, we would call this 'Calimero-behaviour', after a popular children's series. I just saw it is a Japanese/Italian series originally, so maybe you know it :p

They changed it to "Jerusalem"... apparently they already had an alternative plan (start in Sicily, 3 more stages in Southern Italy), it would have been funny to see Froome's reaction .

Calimero was (and is) very famous for being the protagonist of TV commercials almost 60 years ago, when there were only 10 minutes of commercials per day and they never repeated the same one twice. (hello Eurosport).

:woot:maybe one stage of the next  tour de france will be in :ALG

in french

The next? Surely they already mostly know where they will go next year, so a stage in Algeria would be in the plans for the 2019 or later? :p

:d

But on a more serious note: does this article say 'a stage in Algeria is possible next year', or does it say 'if the Tour leaves Europe, it will be to Algeria'? Because that last one is what Google Translate seems to come up with :p @Bohemia A little help? :d

    • Speak for yourself. Why should we give up our one great talent of the younger generation when we have no one else? Maybe from the same reason that the USA didn't give up Schiffrin to another country when she had 17-18...

We are slowly developing a complex about this country, because we are constantly losing to them in sabre too. Sabre has always been Ukrainian, epee for a draw or our slight advantage but a failed in women`s foil, which is already a shocking novelty
