haha the CZech comentator has no idea the Chinese just changed the names of their north-american players. He keep saying that China for some reason do not field all north-americans meanwhile they had

Just woke up and it's already 3:0 Canada. :d Thought the Swiss would be a little bit more competitive, at least in the beginning.

While the top European teams have shrunk the gap between them and Canada/United States, it's still pretty big. They pretty much need to have a great game while Canada/United States have a poor game for the upset to occur.

Canada is up 8:0 against Switzerland after 40 minutes. Just in case there was any doubt that :CAN is really angry about winning silver in 2018.

      There will be specialized double sculls...just not for an NOC if it is entering singles specialists.   Either enter 2 singles specialists, or 1 XD specialist pair.   But they can in theory compete in both events, I guess, if they qualify...our top M, I think, does both.   But there are 17M, 17W, and 30 Pairs allotted in the quota, so I don't think the intent is that every singles entry will be in doubles.   (Perhaps this gets to fall in line with Weightlifting, where due to max entry quota, an NOC can't enter in every event, even if they have the best athletes...here, unless you have a pair who qualifies in both.)
