Wanderer 1,726 Posted August 12, 2020 #1192 Share Posted August 12, 2020 Wow, I thought Guinea was clear favourite in the match with Burundi, and I definitely did not expect South Africa losing this was Not surprised with Somalia bombing out. Ahh, now this looks like typical WTA draw dcro and EupenM
Wumo 3,002 Posted August 12, 2020 #1193 Share Posted August 12, 2020 Somalia becomes the second 1st-placed African nation from the group stage to meet its end in the Round of 16. Costa Rica build a solid lead which was too big of gap for Somalia to come back from. Costa Rica continues their winning streak and will face either Barbados or Cuba in the their quarterfinal. Both countries have yet to experience the bitter taste of defeat, but that will change for one of them. Which of the two island nations will advance to the next round? We will see in a moment. Wumo 3,002 Posted August 12, 2020 #1197 Share Posted August 12, 2020 Ouch! Not the way Cuba wanted to end their time in this special TISC edition. Barbados showed no mercy and shattered all Cuban hopes. Barbados will face Costa Rica next. I wonder what the Costa Rican delagation is thinking after witnessing this? This marks the end of the second session of today. The next session will be hosted by @Vektor who will present you for some interesting match-ups we can look forward to. Third session will start at 17:00 (GMT +2). OlympicIRL
Vektor 3,326 Posted August 12, 2020 #1198 Share Posted August 12, 2020 Damn, we only have two "mainstream" songs left, Barbados and Sri Lanka. I do wonder if Rihanna has a huge advantage now, because as we move forward and increase the number of jurors per match, the more mainstream, pop songs can be more of a consensus choice. And Diamonds might be the last one left depending on what happens with Sri Lanka today.
Vektor 3,326 Posted August 12, 2020 #1199 Share Posted August 12, 2020 I hope you are ready for some more TISC because we are back with the third session of the R16. Next up... a popular ESC participant from Albania vs. a song from Puerto Rico that most of us didn't expect to see here when we saw who they were up against in their group. Maybe they can surprise us once more?
