Wow, Germany sprinting nation. A NR of 37.67. Very good results from them, after the 4x100 mixed and women. All three 4x100's qualified!

Last year's bronze medal winners :NED only 38.00, but qualified as 8th.

Have :FRA got anyone through yet?  4x100m always used to be good for them.

Quite good result for our men's 4x400. For the first time since their amazing silver Olympic medal (2021) they managed somehow to finish in 2.58(.22). Nice for them being qualified, as well as the women (who missed Bol clearly).

Will we have split times later today? Very curious about that last leg of Manuel.

Manuel ran 49.39, the other girls in her heat were all over the 50-sec mark

in the 2nd heat, :GBR Newnham went down to 49.09 and also :NED Klaver (49.87) and :NOR Jaeger (49.92) ran below 50s (Iuel got close, 50.17)

no other girl overall went below the 50-sec mark (and very few went 50.x)

    • It might have been even more B-level than the men's and women' wch after the olympics but still inceedible to see Australia win gold without any dedicated curling facility in the whole country!
    • the most surprising splits, however, came in the mixed 4x400m, with Paula Sevilla at 48.5 and Lythe Pillay at 43.7  not to mention the many 49s among the women
