I don't even accept that Canada missed the podium in Figure Skating in Beijing. They were the 3rd best team. It's not their fault the IOC and WADA are corrupt. 

 

So, all to say, keeping the streak alive!

Bronze for Gilles and Porier in ice dance! 

 

131.56 in the free dance, holy moly! 

 

They finally get their Olympic medal after what happened in the Beijing team event where they should've won bronze!

So happy for Gilles and Poirier but sadly the gold medalists are deeply souring me on this.

Pretty good day overall I'd say:

 

• Bronze for Gilles/Poirier (probably my favourite medal so far)
• Top 5 finish for Schwinghammer in moguls
• Top 10 finish for Laurent Dubreuil who looks like he's back in form
• Both doubles team either exceeded expectations or showed top 5 potential
• Career best finish for Paradis in biathlon
• Opening win in curling
• Hosking qualified for the halfpipe final
