Hey Guys!

 

Does anyone know if FIFA has already released the qualification document for Los Angeles? Usually Women's Copa América is the first qualifying tournament, but I haven't seen anything.

 

Our press is saying that TOP 2 will get a spot in the competition

Nothing has been released. Typically Copa America is held two years before the Olympics, so it was fine. Three years is a bit much. I don't think the IOC will accept that.

In the past, the South American women's quotas were decided before the two-year window as the first direct qualifying event, but it was only by a few months, not by over a year

It's no surprise that 3 countries are favorites for the 2 Olympic qualification places (Argentina, Colombia and Brazil)

Wasn't there a rule which stated Olympic qualification events could not be held before than X months before the Olympics?
