Could his role as standard-bearer at the open ceremony be a problem for him? Mixed doubles games start earlier, so that might distract him?

I don't think so, maybe the home Olympics will fire him up. I'm quite confident that he can do well.

I have concerns about Constantini... She's from Cortina... There will be a lot of pressure, lots of friends, family etc. Plus all the recent controversy with her team. I'm afraid it could be a beautiful disaster:(

Playing/competing at home isn't really good for us... Maybe somewhere in Europe - quite close to us, but not here: Germany, Austria, etc.?

Have no idea of our chances in this category but I will try to watch Estonia-Switzerland tonight for a bit :)

Hopp Suisse! Forza Italia! Go Canada Go!

Italy are the clear favourites for gold, then Great Britain, then a logjam of contenders after that that could contend for silver/bronze, Estonia, Sweden, Canada, US. Switzerland is after that, but still well in the mix for a medal, this pairing finished 7th and 4th at Worlds in 2023/2024, however their season has been awful, they're 18-20 in matches won, and 1-10 and 1-7 in matches against top 10 and 11-25 teams.

Oooof not the best preparation indeed. I hope they will do their best  I can cheer for Italy (have dual citizenship) and if all else fails I'll cheer for Canada :d

In mixed doubles, the field is wide open, and with only 10 teams, everyone has a chance. But i think the best chances for the Swiss in Curling are in the womens competition.

Yep exactly, but to me it would be highly surprising if the Czechs or the South Koreans managed to sneak their way into the medals. Very unpredictable, it would be more likely almost if some of those teams that I'm less confident about end up finishing above some of the supposed medal contenders.

We'll see what happens :)
