I think Pellegrino, who is normally a very tactically savvy skier, lost a chance to get silver when he decided to follow Anger instead of Schumacher, but it doesn't make a big difference.

Pellegrino has a some hand injury, so he's not in the best of form, but it was enough for bronze. In normal form, he should be second behind Klaebo. Ultimately, the silver medals count may determine the final standings in medal table. Currently, we have fewer silver medals than the Netherlands and the USA.

It could have been 6th place ahead of Canada and France and that was it. Clearly, di Centa was in excellent form here, while Ganz was in average shape. For Italy, this is still their best result in this competition since 2010, when we was in 4th. It's a shame di Centa is retiring now, becouse she was in the form of her life here and she's still young. Perhaps she'll change her mind? She, Gismondi and Iris de Martin Pinter would be the foundation of our future relay team.
