Was watching a documentary on the US Biathlon team, and there was mention that perhaps biathlon is the second most popular sport in Europe next to football/soccer.  What say ye, Europeans?  (The sport is basically unheard of here.)

It seems a bit exaggerated :d

It is surely gaining popularity in several countries and it has overtaken cross-country skiing for sure, but it's still a sport with little to no athletes in a large portion of Europe.

We missed the big story!

Olympic medalist broke down in tears on live television today as he confessed to cheating on the 'love of his life'.

Norwegian biathlete Sturla Holm Lægreid took home the bronze medal on Tuesday in the Men's 20km Individual race in the Winter Olympics in Italy

But despite his triumph, the sportsman was overcome by emotion after he admitted to being unfaithful to his girlfriend of six months while being interviewed after his big win.

I’ve had multiple Breaking news notifications about this. Most coverage Biathlon has gotten in the UK in many years if ever.

Will Laegreid be able to keep focus the rest of the week, not only after the break up but also after this attention.

I don't say he shouldn't have confessed tor he girlfriend but if he had waited 3 months, why not wait another 2 weeks? Smart to create personal crisis just when the olympics will start. He also added in the interview, also for no reason, that he is a member of Mensa. Not so high social intelligence though?

If only there was a :NOR word that meant "a long, involved complex story". :roflmao:

The Sturla Laegrid Saga continues to dominate international tabloids with the inevitable girlfriend's response.

Next episode: Sturla the Loose Breeked and his jarls must set off across the cold Atlantic in a quest for unknown lands.
