Athletics WA World Championships 2025

Sweden has two killers and is ahead of Italy in the medal standings. We had a great performance, but we still lacked minimum one gold at overall.. However, we don't have enough dominant athletes in sports, whether in athletics, swimming, etc. There are plenty of silver and bronze medals, but very few gold medals. But apparently that's our beauty and there's no getting around it.

Really felt something good was about to happend. Everyone looked so annoyied or nervous about the weather situation, Daniel Ståhl just kept dancing.  Apparantley  6/12 of the throwers wanted the competition not to be delayed. Australia however wanted to postpone it to tomorrow

So happy for  Rose, I've been keeping an eye on him for a decade so it's great to see him with a world medal.

 

I'm also loving the parity in this sport. 53 nations with at least one medal and only 3 nations with more than 5% of the medals.

Despite the weather, Ståhls winning throw was the 3rd best throw in any World championship or olympics ever, only his own best throw in Budapest and Cech in Eugene was better.
