I would like to see Men's Baksketball World Cup in :PHI one more time sooner or later. They are crazy about this sport there.

I Think this Volleyball WCH is so entertaining from the very beginning is because when you have only 2 teams advancing from group of 4 almost every match is superimportant and the megasurprises can happen any moment

Brazil goes home after only 1 match Lost!

that is why i don’t like the. 48 teams fifa world cup so much. So many group matches but only 16 teams going out after all this marathon… and all this best teams from position 3 counting… nah

they should stick to 32, that was fun

and if they really wanted to earn even more money 64 would be better than 48 - 4 hosts or sth

Italvolley is back

Now, probably Belgium in 1/4. I doubt if we can lose to them twice in the same tournament. Without Bra and Fra, we can only lose to Poland here if we play solidly, just like in the VNL. Unfortunately, we will probably play in 1/2 against Poland, so a bronze medal match is likely, but even bronze would be a success here without Lavia and with a concrete Fefe on the bench:lol:

Volleyball Time. @copravolley How much pesimistic you are today? :d:p:cool:

A. 80%

B. 90%

C. 95%

D. even more

At global current level and without Fra and Bra, we have no right to lose to anyone else here, except Poland. What we did today was just a normal day at work. I don't see any reason to celebrate.

Looking at our recent matches against Poland, it'll probably be 0-3. The last time we won a important match against Poland was in the 2022 World Championship final, but Leon didn't play then. In my opinion, Leon is the deciding factor in the match against Italy. Give us Leon and the result will be the other way around:lol:

You have enough Cuban athletes in your sport I think.

Juantorena, but unfortunately he's too old now. Someone like him from 10 years younger would have been useful right now.

She wasn’t a top-tier athlete in that program anymore. She was at the end of her career. I would personally would rather race against Katie. She’s not as competitive as the other athletes,” he said. “It’s probably really unfair to say and not really where I want to go with this but that’s where we are with that.”   Uhlaender: “If I were Canada, I would be concerned in how this coach is representing the Olympic values for his country,” Uhlaender told Fox News Digital. “He hurt a whole field of athletes, all with dreams, and this sends the message that they don’t matter unless they are number one. All athletes matter, and we all deserve to compete fairly, with integrity, and respect. He did not respect anyone in that field. “This is not about my resume or how good the athletes were in the race. This is about the fact that he intentionally manipulated the competition to hurt myself and 13 other countries because he felt it necessary to eliminate all possibility. That is against the spirit of sport and not what the Olympic movement represents.”   Isn't it great when other people's dirty laundry is aired?  /sarcasm     (I was a little surprised to see NPR pick this up, but per this article, Uhlaender preemptively recorded the phone call after receiving a text from Cecchini that said he had 'bad news' for her.)
    • Idea (that I don't want to mess with right now, but someone else can steal the idea): Could feed the docs from LA28 + Paris 2024 through AI and see what it says.  (Would just take downloading them, perhaps merging them for ease of upload, and passing it through.)
    • If you have time would love to see a sport by sport overview of the changes/new sports
    • Slowly going through the documents.   Looks like canoe slalom qualifiers will be a bit different. More kayak cross quotas which will let nations to essentially qualify two kayakers.
    • How about we choose either Rome or Milano  I hate this timeline we have entered of multiple host cities / countries. The football World Cup became ludicrous, we don't need the Olympics to join them. At least not more than they already are.

The FIBA World Cup Qualifier in P.R. is a throwaway tour- nament for Team USA after the Gold Medal Game debacle.
