I only passively follow figure skating, besides the big names. With Gogolev on form, is Canada a real threat for bronze now? I know we have fire power in pairs and dance, but it's all about rankings. Everything I read says it's Georgia/Italy for the bronze.

Mandatory: We got screwed out of bronze in 2022.

No because the pairs/ice dance pairs have lost their placements and are unlikely to even medal individually. For the team event without any real threats, its going to be hard to medal.

I'm not disagreeing with you, I'm just saying what I've found online say we have threats in both those events.

But still, it's all about relative ranking. So it's how you line up against one person/team of the few teams that are in the team event.

Schizas and Gogolev being the highlights for the team event at the Olympics, who would've thought

Schizas always puts forward her best skates during it.

So if Minsol Kwon wins is she going to represent Canada in the ladies?

We don't have to worry about that because Schizas bounced back in the free and won the Canadian title so it should be her that's selected.

Since when does Canada have depth in the women’s again? Schizas scoring 200,  Daleman is back, the young talented skater from South Korea we have now, Ruiter and then of course Lia Cho.

Ice Dance Results:

1. Gilles/Poirier - 231.05 (137.94)

2. Lajoie/Lagha - 217.32 (130.39)

3. Lauriault/Le Gac - 200.93 (122.29)

These should be the 3 teams heading to Milan.
