Hopefully being back in Europe at least the speed skating crowds should be a bit more lively and get more travelling fans, it's been awhile since we've had that.

Hopefully it will be a good atmosphere at the speed skating, have tickets for the women's 1500m :3

Laura Hall won the 3000! wow

Great for her but that does complicate the matrix a bit more.

Men

Rank Event Athlete
1 10000m (1) Ted-Jan Bloemen Q
2 5000m (1) Ted-Jan Bloemen Q
3 Mass Start (1) Antoine Gélinas-Beaulieu Q
4 Mass Start (2)   Q
5 500m (1) Laurent Dubreuil Q

9 1000m (1)
10 1500m (2)
11 1000m (2)

Women

Rank Event Athlete

3 3000m (2) Valérie Maltais Q
4 5000m (2)   Q
5 Mass Start (1) Ivanie Blondin Q
6 Mass Start (2) Valérie Maltais Q
7 1000m (1) Béatrice Lamarche Q
8 1500m (1) Ivanie Blondin Q
9 3000m (3) Laura Hall Q

11 1000m (2)   Q
12 1500m (2)   Q
13 500m (2) Carolina Hiller-Donnelly
14 500m (3) Brooklyn McDougall
15 1500m (3)
16 1000m (3)

Now there are 7 unique names on the women's matrix with 8 quotas available so there is only room for one more athlete. It's very possible that the 3rd athlete in the 1000m won't be named to the team now.

In the 2nd 500, Dubreuil broke the TR, which was held by Jordan Stolz! Zhao was second and Johnson third. Not sure if this race has any implication on selection. For the women McDougall + Larter were the top 2.

After yesterday's race Dubreuil said it was difficult to do the race and he fought of an illness and wasn't training for it. So hopefully this new TR is a good sign heading into the Olympics.

Lamarche wins the 1500, and Maltais was second.

Alexa Scott misses out, with Carolina Hiller-Donnelly likely to take the last spot in the 1000
