Ya know what, IDGAF about the loses. We got two absolutely legendary Olympic moments today with Harvey’s bronze and the women’s soccer team rising from the dead. Day 2 was kinda fire.

Different mentality than me it seems :p

Wouldn’t call it amazing still, but definitely good.

I seem to care about the losses (Guo in fencing/loss to New Zealand in women’s rugby sevens somewhat, volleyball, and MacNeil in swimming) more than the rest of you it seems

Only way I’m not, is if we win an unusually high amount of medals in a day.

Maggie was always borderline for a bronze, so it's not surprising. Harvey's magical run completely outweighed it. A loss to NZ in 7s was expected (but they looked pretty bad). A win against France is the only way for our soccer players to have a shot at making it to the next round.

At the end of the day, not everything is going to go your way. It's something that everybody (even the US) deals with.

You just got to take it in, accept it, and then move on from it.

It's better to focus on the positive results and inspiring stories to come from these games imo.

The women looked realy good vs Fiji, so hopefully they can build on that

She was in with a chance at silver too. I expected Walsh to win gold by a mile, and then a couple fighting it out for the minor medals but clearly that didn’t happen. About New Zealand, yeah I’m taking more about the margin of the loss.

Not from a Canadian point of view, yes, but from a Josh view, no.

The two things I wanted the most today were a MacNeil medal and a men’s volleyball win over Slovenia (you guys know how much I love volleyball) but neither happened. Therefore you can see why I’m somewhat disappointed.

Also, our girls qualified for the team final, with two in the all around. Only disappointment there is Ellie far away from the beam final.

I forgot about that! See that’s what happens when there’s 20 different sports all going on during the same day

Extremely outside medal chance though (only way we do is if a lot of athletes fall)
