How is China doing with 5 golds? My money is on them Over 33.5 gold

Quite disappointed with that shooting silver with that same point with Korea and 2 silvers in swimming ( in which they probably have no right to get silver but still...)

Do they have favourites in Gymnastics ? ( i saw Liu Yang score)

and Netherlands still 0 medals after 3 days?

Yes, we have 2 days without medals. But it was rather expected. Of course, we had good chances in women epee. Bezhura nad +5 against Mallo-Breton and Kharkova nad +3 against her.

But my xM (like xG in soccer) for the days 1 and 2 were very low (realistic/optimistic)

Day1: 0xM / 0xM

Day2: 0,57xM / 0.86xM

Will see if day 3 will be better

Day3: 2,36xM / 3.93xM

First medal for Ukraine!!

So will se how xM will work for Day 4 (realistic/optimistic).

Day 4: 0,62xM / 1,76xM*

* I know that we have only one medal chance this day but expectations were noted before the Games

When did US not win a medal? It seems improbable that USA did not win a medal on some day.

Official goal for :KOR delegation was "5 golds" . They have reach it after 3 days :cheer:

TBH, all 3 of Korea's best sport are in the start - Archery, Fencing, Shooting. They might face some dry days later on.

Compared to the predictions made before the Games, is France ahead of these predictions or not? Is there even a remote possibility for France to finish first in the rankings?

First or second no. Best case scenario for :FRA  is third, which will be a huge achievement, because it will mean 20+ gold medals.

    • I hope she can do well, but I think she's not going to win any gold, as she's never been comfortable both with the shooting range and the altitude in Anterselva   I fear biathlon is going to be one of the biggest flops for us next year (the other disaster will come from the sliding sports, I'm pretty sure...rather, hopeless)   I think our medal table will heavily depend on the speedskating sports, on the big air events and on alpine snowboard, any other discipline's contribution is going to be marginal
    • Great to see luge being back underway, but annoying that the graphics aren't really working properly yet     They're showing the time gaps at all the splits, as per usual, but then at the finish there is only the actual time, and no time gaps, resulting in all the time having to mentally calculate the difference to see if someone gained or lost time in the last part.

    • Yeah, that is quite a surprise overall. Our women's handball has regressed since the 2010s. Or maybe Spanish women's handball isn't as good as I thought.

    • Watched the mass start on Sunday & it just didn't work.  Runners starting from the fourth or fifth row back (ie everyone in places 20-70) were losing time through no fault of their own - just not enough room on the piste for 70+ starters.  So OK for an experiment, but not for real meaningful competition.

    • Yeah that mirror thing was so weird. You literally need a maximum of two safety car laps (possibly just 1) to take away that 1 piece of stuff....but wait until someone unavoidably shatters it into 1000 little pieces     Intentionally or not, there is no way it was NOT going to happen at some point...
