A very unique opening ceremony. You ain't going to beat a back drop of famous Parisian landmarks during the ceremony, nice breakaway from sterile stadiums.

I loved the ceremony. So French - chaotic, mesmerizing, amazing highs, some lows too, bold and adventurous and uncompromising just like French protesters  Not sure whether the rain made it worse or better, the end was spectacular

I think interspersing the parade of nations with performances is good, but I wouldn't have another non stadium ceremony again.

mate, exactly this! the journey of the flame to the eiffel tower and all the bits leading up to it was good, then there was a 30 min period where it stagnated (everything on that bridge and the dance routine) speeches were speeches, then things just took way to long (the horse was nice for the first hour, and the torch relay bit just went on forever)

not creative , deja vu scenes ...drops on cameras , north american artists , poor ideas (only dancing) , the flame is dangerous useless, outside the stadium ....many people left before the end

If we are happy with 7/10, you must start wandering... So many millions invested in something that is... ok, nothing more.
